Diane C. Einkauf Staha, passed away, peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 65. She was born on July 29, 1955 in Victoria, Texas to Dorothy Smolik Nordloh and the late, William J. Einkauf.
After graduating from Victoria High School in 1973, she moved to San Antonio and began working at North Park Lincoln, where she remained, for 22+ years. She married Wayne Staha in 2000 and they spent two years in love, until his passing in 2002.
Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, father and her stepfather, Earl Nordloh.
Survivors include her mother; sister, Linda Pavlicek and husband Jerry; brothers, William Einkauf and wife Jennifer, and John Einkauf and wife Irene; brother in law, Jeff Staha and his family; nieces, Melinda Barkhurst and husband Neal, Emily Einkauf and Krysten Sanderson; nephews, Ethan Einkauf and Troy Tait and wife Shari; great nephew, Aaron Weiser and wife Sheridan and their 2 children; great nieces, Sarah Weiser, Alee Chapa and Britney Foster and her daughter, Atalie; step siblings, Erich Nordloh and wife Debra, Kristen Lowther, Katrin Christal and husband Randy; as well as their families. Diane also leaves many extended family members that she dearly loved, including her godson, Ryan Jacobsen.
Diane enjoyed 9-pin bowling. She was talented at making beautiful needlepoint and knitting art. Along with her friend, Toni, they made the holiday bows that adorned the new cars at the various North Park dealerships.
Her faith was important, and she was a faithful member of the St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Converse, Texas. She also belonged to the Catholic Daughters – Our Lady of Peace Court #2489 and served terms as Regent and District Deputy.
The Active Pallbearers will be, William and John Einkauf, Jerry Pavlicek, Neal Barkhurst, Aaron Weiser and Arthur Jacobsen.
The Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 11:30 a.m., by the Catholic Daughters. The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. The Rites of a Christian Burial will be afterward at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions, in Diane’s name, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601), St. Monica’s Catholic Church (501 North St., Converse, Texas 78109), or a worthy charity of your choice.
