Dessie Bowman

Dessie Lorraine Bowman, 89 passed from this earth to Heaven on Saturday May 11, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born to Leon and Merle (Hamilton) Chappell on March 28, 1930 in Darrouzett, TX.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and “Nana” not only to her own family, but to many others. She was a hair stylist and she was a very fashionable woman. She enjoyed gardening, painting, was an excellent cook and hostess. She made the house a home for her family and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother; L.E. Chappell, and a sister; Joan Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years Ebe B. Bowman, children; Tony David Bowman, Ebie Beth Runnels, Stacye Ann Young, grandchildren; Aimee Fisk Stewart, David William Gamblin, Brandon Lynwood Young,  Julie Beth Clifton, Blair Braken Young, great-grandchildren; Hailee Elizabeth Patton, Madison Taylor Stewart, McKinzee Rayne Stewart, Chelsea Lorraine Clifton, Elijah Jaymes Young, Ty Sherman Clifton, great-great grandchild; Hudson Alexander Patton.

Private family memorial service is planned.
