David Freddie Hobbs was the 2nd child born to Harry Sr., and Audrey Ray on December 20, 1951.
He departed from this life on Monday, July 10, 2023, in his home in San Antonio, where he resided with his wife Rita of 45 years.
David "Larry" Hobbs moved from Harlingen to San Antonio when he was in the 11th grade and graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio in1971.
Shortly after his graduation he started his career path as an assembly apprentice where he worked his way up in the corporation from assembly-to-mid-management-to-manager of operations where he guided, promoted, and trained employees for Columbia 300, the bowling ball capital shipping all over the world.
Affectionately called "Larry", David Hobbs was proceeded in death by his father, Harry Sr., his brother Harry Jr., and his youngest son Michael Damon Hobbs.
David Hobbs leaves behind previous memories, Rita, a loving wife of 45 years, a son, LaMont Hobbs, his mother, Audrey Ray Hobbs, sister Daphne Ray, nieces Devon Dale (Bill), Renell Richards (Rey), Kanisha Inman, one grandson Mykal Lamont, nephews Keron Hartsfield, Antoine Hobbs (Gwen) and a host of cousins, friends and close neighbors.
