In Loving Memory of Cynthia Kaye Thomas
27 February 1950 – 2 September 2023
Cynthia, a devout Christian and dedicated teacher, was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on 27 February 1950. She exemplified a life of unwavering faith, love, and service, leaving a deep-rooted mark on all who knew her. On 2 September 2023, Cynthia peacefully joined her Heavenly Father, surrounded by the love of her family.
With a strong foundation in her faith, Mrs. Thomas dedicated her life to Christian education, a calling she embraced for over four decades. She was a beacon of wisdom and inspiration in the lives of her students, instilling in them not only academic knowledge but also the values of compassion, love, and faith in God. Her classroom was a place of learning and spiritual growth, where she nurtured young hearts and minds.
Beyond her professional career, Cynthia was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Vincent D. Thomas Sr of 51 years. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and faith, an example to all who knew them. Their marriage was a source of strength, joy, and unwavering support for each other.
As a mother to three children, Vincent D. Thomas Jr., Tamika Milam, and Candace Smith, Cynthia Kaye Thomas embraced her role with boundless love and grace. She raised them with love and care and instilled in them the Christian values that she held dear. Her children were her greatest source of pride and joy.
Mrs. Thomas was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her later years. She cherished each of them, passing down her love for the Lord and teaching them the importance of family bonds. Her legacy will live on through these generations as they carry forward the faith and values she held dearly.
A celebration of Cynthia's life will be held on 9 September 2023 at Now Word Covenant Church in San Antonio, TX, where friends and family will gather to share stories, offer prayers, and give thanks for the precious gift she was to all of us.
Though we grieve her physical absence, we take comfort in the knowledge that Cynthia is now in the loving embrace of her Savior, experiencing the eternal joy and peace she so faithfully taught us to believe in. Her memory will be a source of inspiration, and her love will forever warm our hearts.
