ONE OF MINE
By Randall Manning
Excuse me,
Do you have the time?
It seems you've lost your Angel
Well I know life's travels well
So please take one of mine.
It seems you've entered
A kingdom where there are no tomorrows
A kingdom of darkness
No joys only sorrows
It seems you've lost yourself somewhere
Along the way
Perhaps my Angels light
Can somehow save the day
So as you move
Cautiously on the roadway
Of your mind
Please take one of my angels with you
To stand right by your side
Now don't you worry yourself
Yes her absence will be felt
But she's given me the strength
To continue by myself
Although for many years
And many journeys we've been paired
She's taught me many a lesson
And now a lesson shared
So perhaps...
Should there come a time
Should you come upon another
Remember where you got this lesson
And tell them here take one of mine.
