Arlene Diane Castilla

It is with heavy hearts we announce Arlene Diane Castilla's passing from pancreatic cancer on February 25, 2025. A light so bright, a soul so fierce, and a heart so full of love Arlene Diane was a force of nature. She lived boldly, laughed loudly, and loved without limits. Her kindness lifted those around her, and her brash honestly made life all the more colorful. 

Arlene Diane was born on February 12, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her BBA and MBA in Human Resources, dedicating her career to helping others grow and succeed. Her sharp mind, unwavering determination, and compassionate heart made her an inspiration to many. 

Arlene Diane is survived by her father, Enrique Martinez; her husband of two years, Anthony Castilla; her two children, Jesse (Kendra) Fernandez and Madison Nicole (Alex) Stewart; grandchildren, Hayeden W, Corbin Jay, and Mina Joy; two sisters Virginia Sommers and Laura (David) Fuentes. 

She was predeceased by her mother, Carmen Martinez, April 10, 2024, as well as her uncle, George Ruiz.

Arlene Diane will be laid to rest next to her mother, Carmen Ruiz Martinez, and her grandfather, Arthuro Ruiz. It is comforting to know they are once again together, as they shaped her into the incredible woman she was.

Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her love, laughter, and indomitable spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. 

A memorial service will be held on Feb 28, 2025 at Chapel Hill to celebrate her incredible life. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the love and joy she brought to our lives. 

Rest in peace, Arlene Diane Castilla. You were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
