"Loving daughter and sister, Miss Alice “Yen” Trieu-Do was called to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, January 31, 2022. She left behind her beloved parents, Xung and Anh, and her older sister, Van.
Alice was born with the lower part of her body not being able to function independently but that did not stop her. She had a strong soul and big dreams of being independent both financially and physically. She could not attend a school like other kids her age during her childhood in Vietnam. She was 15 when she and her family moved to the US, Alice joined a high school program. Despite all the challenges, both in language and her physical limitations, she enjoyed going to school and making new friends, experiencing social life, and gaining more knowledge. Alice received her Associate's degree as a straight-A student and later this year in 2022 she was going to walk the stage for her bachelor’s degree. Her dream after graduation was to get a job and use some of those funds to help unlucky people like her. Alice dreamed of taking care of her parents. She wanted to take them to travel to many different places and to help them retire comfortably.
Alice enjoyed listening to music, learning foreign languages, spending quality time with family, playing Wushu, and discussing the World news. In the last year, she started learning about Buddhism, became a vegetarian, and worked hard to find ways to improve herself, both mentally and physically so she could make her dream come true.
We loved her beyond words, and she will be missed tremendously. We love you so much our precious YEN.
May her soul rest in peace and light forever. "
